Default Very nice antique brass-mounted Burmese dha

This late 19th C dha is a very nice example of a "story dha," with fine silver khoftgari work on the blade. The inscriptions usually describe historical tales of valor and are decorated with various figures and scenes. I have provided pictures of the both sides of the blade.

The hilt and scabbard are covered in chased brass over wooden cores. The decorations are typical Burmese vegetal designs with small blank plaque areas. The pommel is globular, probably brass over a wooden or resin core.

OAL in scabbard = 46.5 in.
Blade = 31.5 in.
Hilt = 13.5 in.
OAL ex scabbard = 45 in.

Asking US$475.00 plus shipping and insurance.

This is a heavy item, weighing about 2 kg when packed. I use AUSPOST to save on shipping costs (AUSPOST is half the rates charged by private shipping companies). Please check shipping costs with me.

Given the current uncertain trade tariffs, I am very reluctant to ship any item to the U.S.A. Please note that I do not ship to China or Russia.
