Thanks Michael
Well, as I wrote above, I use today the same way of dispaly, but I made an attempt to arrange the axes in a thematic/geographic order. It is better now than before, but since space is, after all, limited, I had no chioce but to spoil the good order for the sake of space. Nevertheless, I'll make some photos for you all to see, along your request. If by any chance I forget, say within 3-4 days, do not hesitate to nag me through PM. Happy holidays!

Well, here are pics of my display. It's very hard to get good focus & lighting in such photos, so if you have special requests to see individual items please ask.

That's what each monothematic collection should try to achieve: a perfectly constructed concept.

Congratulations,
Michael

Thanks guys. Well, this is not so perfect, I had to do some compromises because of the space limit.

Thumbs up

WOW! THATS QUITE A COLLECTION OF AXES, I DIDN'T SEE ANY EXAMPLES OF OCEANIC FIGHTING AXES, IS YOUR COLLECTION MOSTLY EUROPEAN?. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY AXES LIKE THE ONES IN YOUR SECOND PICTURE (ONES WITH HORSES, FOX, BIRDS AND A BEAR) WHAT WERE THEY USED FOR AND WHERE ARE THEY FROM?
I USE A SIMULAR SYSTEM FOR MOUNTING WEAPONS IT CAN SUPPORT A LOT OF WEIGHT AND PLASTIC TIE WRAPS CAN BE EASILY REMOVED TO REARRANGE THE DISPLAY OR REMOVE AN ITEM FOR STUDY. CONGRADULATIONS ON A GREAT COLLECTION.

I did have in past many "ethnic" axes, mostly from Africa, India and the far-east. By choice I limit myself today to North America, Europe and the minor Middle-East. Oooh, these are domestic cleavers, a form of folk art that had appeared first in France, probably during the late 18th century and spreaded both to America and towards Russia.

Thanks!
