I think we all agree on the copper. Honestly, I was not really concerned much about whether it was suasa or not, but much more concerned about the age of the entire item. It looked old to me, but I have been fooled before by weapons from the region, si I will be grateful for any feedback on this matter.

Nice old rencong with laminated blade
![]() Looks like the real deal (eufenism, I mean : is the real deal) . If you ever want to part from it let me know You can wash it with lemon or lime to bring out the lamination a little bit more. Ferrule looks like copper, but try to polish it up with just a cotton cloth. Suasa wil start to shine more easily due to the silver and gold contents. Best regards, Willem |
