Were you the buyer on this dagger? I hope if you were that you will post some pictures when you receive it. It might be worth starting a new thread in the European section in case some people have missed this one. Sorry I couldn't be more help, I'm sure some other members might be able to tell you more. I do think its a Spanish one, but the 'type B' designation that references seem to give is not really helpful in the same way that the 'type A' given to all of the single edged ones isn't. . The double edged ones are more familiar with the 'lantern' or 'plug' handles, but I have seen examples with straight handles and the brass sheath is very like the daggers from Albacete. Close-up pictures would possibly show detail and decoration that might be more readily identifiable. Regards Gene |
