Need ID for Two Axes

colin henshaw Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 1,429	The one on the left - the shaft is from a Shona (Zimbabwe) axe, the raised part at the top of the wood is typical. The "herb-chopper" blade does not belong I think. The axe on the right looks like from a bit further north, maybe Rotse (Zambia). Probably a village headman's "badge of office" - being part of his costume. Regards.
