Well I'm green with envy.......what a nice puppy and great find. Looks like silver mounts. The brass crossguard is fascinating. I forget - is it from Batangas? Love the blade too.....

Here is a link to a previous thread on this style of sword and hilt http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ht=head+parang It seems that there are a few variations of these and I'm not sure if it was ever decided exactly where they are from but Batangas was mentioned as a possibility.
