Aren't these called 'Fantasy' daggers .....found everywhere, ....in the dark ages when dragons ruled ........common in the domains of 'Middle earth'...a great favourite of Elves....they are even attributed to civilisations in the far flung reaches of the galaxy.......

With such a pedigree......I could never understand why they are so cheap to buy

Hi Bill, It's good to see someone else is "Bored Of The Rings"

I just couldn't believe it when I first saw this thing and what was being ask as a starting bid

let alone the tale and the reserve that went along with it.

I believe it is wootz..........possibly even the chevron or ladder pattern

This is beyond ridiculous. But Still someone had to pay an eBay fee for posting this, and I would imagine at a $2500 price, the fee would be a hell of a lot more than I would want to pay for a joke.

I remember the "Arc of the Covenant" being offered on eBay. Reached 40 million before eBay pulled it. Reason given, "Item not believed in Seller's possession."
