Hi,
On the hunt for nice stuff I bought this kudi because it doesn't look to me recent manufactured. However my name is mandaukudi I'm not enough into the market of kudi's. Arjan. better pics will come.... |

hi, nice one
the older hindu ones have three holes, the newer islamic ones have 5 (representing the 5 pillars of the faith) they are quite interesting 'weapons' i was surprised at how big mine was, 10.5 inch blade

HEY! sadly its moved ! I think kudi's are more keris related objects and the kudi knowledge is more among keris collectors, but we'll see

Hi Rick,
I understand your problem of keeping the kerisforum the keris forum and also read your link. But when my wife keeps the house too clean , my visitors are afraid to come in.... I have worked in a supermarket ( glad I'm away )and if we tried to sell eggs between the bears suddenly we sold less of it.... Arjan. |

interesting, the few new ones i've seen with 5 holes had 4 along the top as yours and one near the blade edge. maybe yours has fallen victim to cleaning along the edge? yours has a good ol' notch just where i'd expect the 5th hole. haven't heard of one with 4 holes yet, but i'm not even close to any expertise..
