Hi Ben. Nice mandau. Would it be possible to see a clear close-up of the coin at the base of the hilt. This is only the second time i have seen this (though admittedly my experience is limited), the other one is mine discussed in this thread:

Hi David the coin on the handle mostly Dutch dime
this is not rare and can be seen a lot mostly it disapear and we only see the place where the coin was the one in the forum looks also Like an dutch dime one side Dutch otherside Indonesian or arabic Also only Dutch both side s and under the Handle also can be found an coin from Sarawak Radja James Brooke The Only White Radja in History . |

yes that is right I did mean the Brooke s are the only ones .

Here are Charles , James and cv Brooke Hi David Here is an Dutch coin Nederlands-Indie 2 and a half cents other side different language. same as 10 cents . so I can say it is an dutch coin on the mandau of yours .
