Hello Paul
Welcome to the forum. A very nice keris for a beginning collector. It is a solo keris indeed. The description came from the seller, I suppose. I think this keris is recently made, but well executed. A better start than most of us keriscollectors did ![]() |

Hello Henk,
Thanks for your reply, the dealer helped me out with the Wrangka, since I could only conclude that it must have been a Gayaman Solo, he told me that it would possibly a Grayaman Solo Nunggak Semi. I agree that it is a nice object, and that's why I bought it ![]() But how is it a better start than most collectors? I'm very keened on having information about Kerisses. When I start something, like this collection, I always start reading information before I put money in it, the more you can tell, the happier it makes me ![]() Cheers! |

Hello Paul,
The original wrangka could be a gayaman and if it was a solo, it was a replacement. The original wrangka should be a gayaman madura. Gayaman madura and solo have similarities but also differences. For more information about keris and the answer on your question why you made a better start than most of us I would advice you to take some days or evenings, search on keris in this forum and read, learn and enjoy! |
