I is indeed the foot off of an old piece of furniture, but it looks strangely at home on the kris, if backwards. Possibly brought home by a soldier without a handle, and replaced with whatever was at hand. As others have said, the blade looks very promising.

Yes, genuine blade and a throw-away "hilt-like object."
Please post pics after cleaning/reetching... BTW, these were sold as a pair about half a year ago on ebay and didn't got a lot of bids.  Regards, Kai |
