While I still have not solved the exact origin of the hilt, I believe the blade is an old 18th century European blade, which once looked similar to that of the kaskara I posted yesterday. You can see the same fuller configuration of one wide fuller in the center with two narrow parallel fullers on its sides, and the remnants of the floral engravings at the base.
