Default Filipino sword with similar distal recurved blade

This is a distinctly Filipino sword in its original scabbard. The blade profile has a distal recurved blade that might have been somewhat copied from the 1880 Spanish Artillery sword shown above. The edges of the recurved section are sharp and serrated.

The overall length of this sword is 35 inches, considerably longer than many Filipino swords and perhaps used by a Spanish colonial. The sword could be used for slashing or stabbing.

The hilt is obviously a crude later replacement.
