			is this old? Looks pretty " fresh" to me (especially the engraving) and the cold shuts aren't particularly nice    |

			The engraving seems to have included some inlay work, most of which is now missing. That would suggest some age for the blade and a likely ceremonial piece.

			Hi All, The hilt/ferrule arrangement looks similar to a knife of mine which I had always thought was some form of Indonesian wedong. The ferrule is silver plated steel. The blade is about 7.625 in (19.3675 cm). Sincerely, RobT |
