(Prussia used a similar profile for naval cutlasses, as did Sweden) The next post there shows a shorter brass hilt version with a yataghan blade. I also have one of those, wasn't sure where it came from. Mine doesnt have a lion head pommel tho. Thank you very much for solving two mysteries in one sentence.  |
