Yup, that clearly looks like resin/plastic. Do a hot needle test or just hold a flame to an edge...

That may be due to lots of mineral filler.
The developing smoke should have some kind of plastic smell though (vs. the smell at a dentist when drilling a tooth)... Regards, Kai |

hello,
first of all, the tusk should be hollow at that point (base!). And the little holes give it away, as a resin copy. They are due to air bubbles. Something you get if you do not pay attention on the job... So in fact it is; a sloppy made copy... |
