Thank's a lot for your message and picture !
Not easy to say/date without a date/ makers mark on the blade...
Here two similars I found on internet:
The first was sold as a 16th-17th century possibly ottoman crescent axe , pictures from Mandarin Mansion .
The second a strange undated axe covered with snake skin.
a motley mix who doesn't seems old, origin ??..
The blade seems of lower quality but really looks like...
