Yes, well done! Look at post #51 in that thread. The letters look the same most likely. It then spells Grgur which is Slavonian for Gregory. He is believed to be a local Dalmatian artisan/hiltmaker. So the blades would be imported from a variety of sources and then probably hilted locally according to taste.
