Thank you for your message,
I totally agree with you, something of a ''french- north european'' art déco knife mixed with a turkish-kurdish style hilt or some kindjal like hilt.

For me it is european made with orientaiist influence
but, it is made like a knife but large as a khanjar dagger: 44cm/17,3 inches long and the blade seems laminated,
I'll try to etch it a little....
Maybe a rehilted blade ?
I agree again, it is nice but something strange and not well balanced between the blade length and shape and the hilt...
