Khanjar hilted knife'': ID wanted...:)

I like it very much: reminds me of art deco style.
The grip and ferrule are very nice, but (personal taste) it deserves a better blade; slightly wider and a little longer with a sleeker / tighter shape following the symmetric form of the grip and ferrule.

I totally agree with you, something of a ''french- north european'' art déco knife mixed with a turkish-kurdish style hilt or some kindjal like hilt.

For me it is european made with orientaiist influence
but, it is made like a knife but large as a khanjar dagger: 44cm/17,3 inches long and the blade seems laminated,
I'll try to etch it a little....
Maybe a rehilted blade ?
I agree again, it is nice but something strange and not well balanced between the blade length and shape and the hilt...

To me, it has a hint of tableware about it. Either a carving knife made in an orientalist style, or even a Turkish\Ottoman kindjal refitted with a cutlery blade to make a 'conversation' piece?

The blade has signs of Turkish linear laminations, which would not likely appear in a common table knife. A proper clean & etch with FeCl or even instant coffee might be more definitive.

The silver ? on the pommle looks like Yemen work. To me it looks like a rather nice well made knife of unusual form, like many not immediately recognised examples will remain a mystery for some time and often scorned.
