I've seen this somewhere before.
I'm wondering if the pommel was broken and cut off at the back tip and the bottom tip. For me this is a head scratcher. ![]() |

With the black lacquer on the hilt and scabbard...can we speculate that the artisan who made the scabbard and hilt were possibly Chinese? |
