What can we say other than that it this is a high quality, older (looks like it is dated to the end of the 19th/start of the 20th century) koummaya with what looks like a rhino horn hilt. You have done well.

Hi,
I very much agree with Drabant1701. A thought-after type by any koummya collector. One of the things that makes this type so valuable is that most, though not all, have a rhino horn hilt. Yours looks like rhino horn, but better pics are needed to establish that. Decoration and condition are very good too, and the blade looks above par even for a high quality koummya. The writing on the pommel is Arabic, but very stylized. Perhaps someone in the forum can read it.
