Yes likely a painting of Buzkashi. See link here https://www.google.co.nz/search?ei=W...eD-BDoQ4dUDCAo
The language you show is likely URDU. I can not give any further information on your piece but if you search Google Buzkashi Pics there are many there, but not your one. I have enlarged a section of your painting and several "players" appear to be holding whips. Stu Last edited by kahnjar1; 2nd August 2019 at 12:01 AM. |

Yes, certainly Buzkashi, and a wonderful depiction of the sport. I'm guessing the scale depicted below the picture is in inches?
It's delightful - where did you encounter it? I'm away from home at this time, but I have a buzkashi whip - I'll post a picture of it on my return. |

Buzkashi is the national sport of Afghanistan . It means "Goat Grabbing." Please see http://archive.boston.com/sports/blo...ng_is_the.html for some atmospheric pictures ..

Nice painting!
We should probably forget many Americans' first intro to the sport, the tragically anachronistic, Rambo 3. https://youtu.be/VkZq52nqb_Q |
