Based on your description of the piece upon inspection. It would not surprise me at all if the stock was already compromised and the bad handling exacerbated the problem.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, the pistol turned out nice. I'm actually considering having the small parts of silver missing replaced. I know who can do this work correctly, and reasonably. But haven't decided if it's worth the expense yet (?) Hmmm We shall see. Rick |
