			I understand your question to be directed at the curved kruwingan work that runs parallel to the sogokan, then curves towards and through the gandhik. If this is so, that curved sculpting in the blade is named as "tikel alis", it is a very common feature and occurs in many blade forms. 
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	In this Balinese blade it is very distinct, and Balinese blades are recognised as often having the characteristic of deep and very obvious sculpting of characteristics, in addition, it is an older form of tikel alis that goes right through to the front of the gandhik. Yes, it is hard not to notice it, but it is common, its just that in this Bali blade it is very distinct.  |
