Well, if ,again, there's no need to preserve one's own dignity

, among friends, here's a couple of shots from a demonstration we did of 17th century Spanish swordsmanship. We were asked to please wear more or less period-ish attire, so, we tried to oblige as some Tercio's soldiers...
To me, swordsmanship is a field of knowledge I add to my study of antique weaponry. It is fun to an almost obscene level, also...

The weapons are modern reproductions to be used as trainers, I hope they comply...

....well sure there is a lovely elexier in that mace, called bier ........

But originally it is an Englisch weapon, called Yard of Ale.

Cool pic! Shelley had his digital camera at our Kombatan class yesterday and I had a binangon and a tenegre with me....BUT WE FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE! Oh well!

Ughhh...I was hoping to do a theme pic when I got some time off, and I may still yet if they ever give me some vacation days, but since I promised a pic this week Ill post a class pic taken a year ago after a Fred bring your swords to class day. Wish we had more students at the time then we could have had more of my stuff in the pic

, but people didnt feel like holding two sword.

since we're talking tattoo, here's my two that i had for a while. the left is tribal and the right is alibata. translation: "KUSOG ILONGGO". btw, went ahead and killed two birds with one stone; i'm holding swords, zel...

Hehehe...awesome site. I take it you can guess what the full sleeve I have planned will be. Unfortunately no more room on the chest. Well one day...I just need a proper time to do it. A good tattoo should be good anting-anting as well, but that takes timing for the proper event.
