No, sorry, my fault!

I've remembered that I know this sort of daggers and have had a look to "panga na visu" and there is a very similar dagger on page 23, piece 13 described as Tuareg/Mandingo from Mali but personally I would go with my previous statement in the link you provided.

No worries, I was just confused as to whether there may have been some new information that pinpoints these at least in terms of geographic area. To sum it up, Zirngibl thought these may be from Mali/Tuareg areas, while in previous forum discussions the conclusion was that these are most likely from Senegal. Unfortunately West African knives and daggers have not been studied well and as a result there are a lot of contradicting attributions, such as in this case.

Yes, you're correct, Zirngibl show it with other Tuareg daggers and described a very similar piece as Tuareg. But it seems most likely that this daggers are found in Senegal but we haven't a clear proof for this.
