I also doubt this blade spend considerable time under water - I'd expect the corrosion to be much more erratic.

The circular & rectangular fit of the pesi looks weird, too. I'm especially weary of the discoloration of the gonjo at the pesi though...

agree at some point as the rate of corrosion seems to be weird on that area, looked like "welded" to me

I am almost certain this is is of rather recent manufacture, artificially aged.
