Just checked my book. .. "The Great Guns"

By Harold L Peterson and Robert Elman.
Actually, when I look at it, the chapter is entitled "The most Dangerous Game", and covers both heavy sporting guns/rifles And howdah pistols, Not Just the pistols.
(Such is memory!)

If I can find the book for sale I'll let you know. :-)
