Seems to me that Belgians find rather unusual applications for old swords.
Question: if I want to look for, say, a Yataghan in Belgium, what categories should I search? Shoehorns? TV antennas? Sex toys? Well, that's an idea....

By the way, the wrap looks to be brass not copper. Nice find.
