Don't know where it's from, but I love the barrel. A lot of attention to detail. Imagine, what it looked like when it was made.

Salaams All ~This one looks very much like an Omani Abu Futtila...(The one with the match) It is interesting how the National Museum people view this and I note the people who did all the Gun and Cannon research consider European involvement probably German in the manufacture... See http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ght=Omani+Guns For a report which is Cannon Fort and Gun orientated etc see http://www.klm-mra.be/icomam/downloads/issue07.pdf Regards, Ibrahiim al Balooshi Last edited by Ibrahiim al Balooshi; 9th December 2014 at 02:40 PM. |

I agree with Ibrahiim - Omani - beautiful gun, but the typical padded butt is missing - you often find these covered in deer skin as a hunting trophy for the owner. Regards Runjeet |

Hi, BANDOOK! Good Matchlock gun! My friend from England told me that these guns are sometimes found in Afghanistan. |
