japanese pipes?

Brass with copper inlay, Andrew, carved deeply right around the pipe .
I'll have to try to get a better shot or two of it .
Likely made by some former sword fitting maker .

I'd love to know more about the symbolism of the scene .

As I understand it some kiseru were weapons grade .
