three more.
the ultimate arms and armour monument is of course Trajan's column in rome. more swords than you can shake a stick at & lots of armour, shields, fortifictions, spears, falx, etc. etc... 1. wm. wallace, scotland, looks a bit art deco. makes him look like a dwarf in the LOTR. doesn't look like at all like mel gibson. yes, he was as short, but not so wide and didn't have a beard. 2. alfred, winchester, traditional victorian statue. why a greek hoplite shield? 3. achilles, hyde park. needs a bit more clothing. (  ) it's getting cold out. nice sword tho. he needs an arrow in his heel. if only he'sd heeded OSHA and worn his safety boots and goggles. also doesn't look at all like brad pitt. if only the sculptors were more accurate. like trajan.
