Well, your new photos pretty much confirm for me that this hilt is ivory and very nicely carved. All other previous comments still stand. If you still have access to this keris it would be very helpful to see images of the blade. No matter how ornate aspects of dress might be in some cases it is the blade that is at the heart of any keris ensemble.

Terry, i cleared your post without seeing the photos you attached. We keep three different forums going here, the keris forum where we only discuss keris related subjects, the European Forum for items from that region and the main ethnographic forum where this last blade belongs.
