I dont think this is a touristy piece but the decoration is an imitation of Persian ones. I think this piece was likely made and used in Syria. Atleast the script was done there.

![]() No way this sword is from 1606 (didIgetthatright?) ![]() The current custodian of this sword is a charter boat captain from my town . Just trying to fill in some blank spaces for him . The handle is horn, the blade seems to be fairly springy, but kids at play can damage about anything . ![]() I think cleaning it would likely remove the decoration; it is quite rusty . ![]() |
