The kris shown here was sold at auction a little while ago (not to me, alas), and I was most intrigued by the gold 'cage' around the ganja. Perhaps this is the right thread to throw it into?

Any other examples out there or in particular, data on this aspect of art in the Keris culture of Malaysia or anything known about the example in the article presented in my opening post? Thanks Gavin |

Nice example Loedjoe and it certainly shows this practice was in existence for Peninsula keris....but i am still not sure that the original keris under discussion is from Malaysia.
