My goodness... you can probably cleave an ox with that monster of a barong.

the spine of that barong is 3/16" at the hilt and hits 1/4" in the center.
the blade is 17" long and is 3 1/4" at the belly.
its feels like it weighs 10 lbs. definetely a chopper.
