It really looks as if made yesterday but I suggest mid to late 18 C. This is based on decoration style, blade shape and the quality of the chiseling and inlay. Great condition to age.

The appearance date of the earliest sabers is vague and so far not finally fixed. It was common to think that the first sabers appeared on the 11 or 12 C. With time, more discoveries moves this date...

I think it is not a fake. The blade is real and early, 1900 or so. Spiral gave all the good reasons for it. The handle and the scabbard are crudely made but made for use and not for sale to tourists....
