Leather treatment

Sumatran sword for comment
I am almost certain that this is Sumatran, but would be happy to hear comments.
It looks as though it is an older blade in new dress.
The hilt appears to be Ivory and the rest is definitely silver....

As suggested, it was performed with toothpicks, thin oil, very fine wire wool and emery. Although there is quite a bit of the silver missing, no more came out...
