I've not tried to etch the blade... looks plain beneath the patina.
It does have great distal taper and very robust... a simple and very effective 8cm long blade...

An unusual utility
I've always thought this to be of Patanni origins, Northern Malay border states.
Does anyone have definitive knowledge as to the origins of this knife.
