Default Movie the Wizard of Bagdad 1960

"The Wizard of Bagdad" 1960
Sadly, I just saw 20 or so swords destroyed in the filming of this movie. The man character had what looked like a rather nice serviceable shamshir with kilij mounting..horn and all. I would think that at the time of filming it was far cheaper to use the real thing than have copies made.
No doubt some were made by the prop department, but not most.
