Default 18th century naval sword

These hilts are usually called by the French 'GARDE TOURNANTE'. They could be both Navy and Army. This system may also be found in Walloon type swords.
Officers may sport the lions head pommel. Portuguese navy examples may also be seen.

Fabrication marks no! When I say it's portuguese it's because the sword is featured in a navy portuguese swords book, and the origin of it is tracked to portuguese oficiais (family). But as you know it can be only "assembled" in portugal, Its something probably we will never know.
