This sword has a truly remarkable hilt for its type. Not only is the carving exceptional, but the form is a far cry from the typical "gatormouth" with open jaws. The aesthetics of the decoration is in face quite southern European in flavor, reminiscent of motifs on Spanish colonial furniture.

Philip,
What kind of secret concoction have you used to etch the blade? |

Good get Charles. I recall seeing this Kamp multiple times. The hilts carving on some areas are still crisp. ItÂ’s been well maintained. At what age would you place on it?
Ok, how many swords do you spot in the photo thatÂ’s in your collection 😁 |

You have been quite busy the last time Charles! Congrats for another outstanding piece.
Have you ever thought about showing your collection as a whole? Regards, Detlef |
