Hello Henri,

IMHO this is a non-traditional keris blade made on the Malay peninsula; craftmanship and surface treatment support a recent origin (within the last decades).

I don't think this blade style can be included under the pandai seras label; the pendokok isn't suitable for a tajong (nor coteng) hilt - can you post some pics of the hilt, please? No scabbard?

Regards,
Kai

You were able to avoid it. Searching in the Forum for information takes time, yet it should be done: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ghlight=tajong

I moved this to the keris section where it belongs. Hopefully Henri you feel just a little bit better about this purchase after reading the thread Gustav linked to.

Yes, I have owned this keris two years ago and sold it again by ebay which a fair description and surprisingly I get back nearly my money. It was sold inside Europe and now it is in Australia!
I think I have written in the thread Gustav posted at this place what I think byself about this keris. I hope that Henri have the same good luck like I am when I get short time later a good old Tajong by a very good price, look here:

I hope that you, Henri, don't pay to much for this one.

Regards,

Detlef

Perhaps that is the "power" of this keris....that it will bring to it's owner the tajong they were really looking for...
