While handle and sheath seems to be very nice is a lot of the blade gone by ritual washings but it was a nice pamor.
Here some threads about badiks: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showth...ighlight=badik

Thumbs up

I HAVE SEEN BLADES LIKE THIS BEFORE AND THEY SEEM TO BE ENTIRELY PAMOR NOT LIKE SOME THAT HAVE PAMOR APPLIED OVER A STEEL CORE. THE YEARS AND RITUAL CLEANING DO TAKE A TOLL ON THE BLADE AND MAKE IT TOO FRAGILE FOR A WEAPON BUT PERHAPS MORE TREASURED AS A PUSAKA. IF THESE TERMS APPLY TO DAGGERS OTHER THAN KERIS.??
THE SCABBARD AND HANDLE MAY BE NEWER THAN THE BLADE BUT APPEAR TO HAVE AGE AND TO HAVE SEEN USE. HARD TO JUDGE FROM PICTURES.

Yes Barry, the word "pusaka" can be used for objects other than keris.

The word means "heirloom" and it can apply to all weapons, stirrups, saddles, rice pots, walking sticks --- all things inherited from one's forebears. One Susuhunan even applied it to a royal graveyard and and a mosque.
