Hello Stefan,

These are indeed modern productions of more traditional knives. AFAIK this company is still producing them, so they may be very recently made. The stamped area on the mouth of the sheath is very hard to decipher, but the second line seems to read "PLATE FINO," which suggests that the metal has been electroplated. I cannot read the rest. Perhaps someone else has a similar knife with a clearer inscription and could post a picture.
