Great example! let me know if you ever consider having it for sale.

Gazan items made in the 20th century are generally of a similar quality. But there are shamshirs made in the 19th and lower of exceptional quality. One was published in the forum a few years ago.

This is one simple Shibriya I got 1999 in Aqaba/Jordan. The sigil on the blade depicts the blacksmith "Hani Mehsin".

The second one is from Jordan as well and shows a nice example of Niello.

The third one is very simple, but I think it is interesting that the sheath reminds of syrian works you'd find on Magdali Khanjar for example.
