Default Plug bayonet

Hello I need a little help to identify this plug bayonet that I think has some words on the blade but now only a little traces have. I want to know how old it is and from what country. It’s looks like a James II plug bayonet. Thank you in advance

It looks like a renewed piece.

I would err on the side of caution to name the blade type within this incorrect restoration.

Certainly not a plug bayonet; their grips never reduce the taper towards the cross guard !

Certainly the handle is not suitable for a plug bayonet, the blade is of similar form but difficult to ascertain if it is of that age etc.
Below is a British plug.

Theads closed in view of author's attempt to enquire on countless pieces still in active commercial venues.
