Great catch, great sword!
I think it is a Tagalog-made blade, likely from Laguna or Quezon provinces; or surrounding areas. The Laguna classification would be "uhas tari" (taking into account that other provinces have different build iterations of such). |

Is there merit in the hole being used for wrist wrapping/cord, like some sort of the Munsala/Mansala type cloth specific to the region... seems like a practical thing to have if one was travelling throughout the islands and coastal regions.
