				 | Cikeruh/Tjikeroeh golok, Javanese translation help?

I just received this small golok - the form resembles some of the swords in this thread: http://vikingsword.com/vb/showthread...=Golok+cikeruh There are similar examples in Van Zonneveld on pg. 49 (head-shaped hilt type associated with Cikeruh). Overall it’s well made with a nice blade. The engraving is well done. I’m curious about the Javanese? script on the ricasso. Could anyone assist? Perhaps it just reads “Tjikeroeh”? |

Unusual! Normally it's engraved in Arabic letters! Could it be Sundanese instead of Javanese!? Regards, Detlef |

tjikandang.(Missing symbol around 'na' to turn it into 'n'. Is that a 'dot' above 'da' to turn it into 'dang'? )
